Hi! You can reach me at "2001priyanshu@gmail.com" or "kumarp9@my.erau.edu". If you would prefer to contact me by phone, please email me, and I will send you my phone number.
Hi! My name is Priyanshu Kumar. A bit about myself...
I am currently a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Prescott, AZ. I am majoring in Aersopace Engineering (Astro Track) as well as minoring in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. I am currently looking for a full-time position where I can apply all the technical and soft skills that I have learned over the years!
More about me: I came to the US in 2008 from India and have lived across 4 states with Arizona being my longest one. I personally had no idea what I wanted to pursue as a career, but I knew that I wanted to do some type of engineering, so I took a leap of faith and chose Aerospace Engineering. Call me the McDonald's slogan because "I'm lovin' it!"
You can find more information about what I have done scattered around this website. You can click on the icon on the top left to access other pages. This website has been my personal project for about a year or so. There aren't too many pictures of things that I have done since I am bad at remembering to take photos, but it is something that I am trying to do more often. If you find any difficulties navigating the site or something looks ugly, let me know! I'm working on making a version for the phone as well. Feel free to email me for any other inquiries!
Spacecraft Preliminary Design exposes senior undergraduates to the conceptual and preliminary design of a system. At the end of the semester, we will have a design ready for manufacturing in the spring semester. For this project, we are focusing on the NASA FLOATing DRAGON challenge.
The beam vibration research project is an ongoing research project with Dr. Yabin Liao. The goal of this research project is to create a model for the prediction of vibrations in an airplane wing via a LSTM model. So far, I have worked on creating a small rectangular and airplane wing model in ANSYS and running some basic displacement tests in ANSYS. Additionally, I have worked on the implementation of a LSTM model in Tensorflow as well as delved into improving our current LSTM model in Matlab by researching various machine learning parameters. I am currently further researching LSTM models for future while we wait for the parts that I drafted to be machined.
This website has been in development for the past year or so. This is an ongoing project that will be constantly in development for the foreseeable future.
*Look in the projects page for further detail about all these activities!
